It's been a while.....

It's been a while since I have updated the blog, but I was recently introduced to facebook and it's quite addicting. Anyways, here are some cute pictures from our peach picking adventure in Chico!

Water girl

Ava finally got in the water at our last pool party, she really enjoyed herself! It helped that the water was 88 degrees, it was like a bathtub. She also had her first boat ride over 4th of July weekend. She hated her life jacket, but after it came off she had a great time. She even took a little nap, what a life! The last picture is just cute :)

Lots of new things this month....

Ava has been doing quite a few new things this past month. She went on her first airplane trip to Bend, OR for Brant's wedding, which included a BART ride. She had her first two teeth poke through during the last couple of weeks. If you look closely at the last picture you might be able to see them....really closely! She went to her first Giant's game on her dada's first Father's Day. I forgot my camera at home so Grammie has those pictures. She went to her first pool party! You will notice that we are no where near the water. She dunked her toes in and then started crying, so we played inside mostly :) Oh, and I also snapped a picture of the first time she has ever laid down in 6 months! Lounging is definitely not her thing.

She has been doing lots of talking. She likes to say; dada, nana, baba, keekee and ooh. She is also working on her fish lips, she can suck the top lip in, just not the bottom yet. Funny girl. But these days she is just feeling her new teeth, they are quite exciting you know.

Mama gets a new camera

Here are some priceless shots from my new camera. I've taken probably a thousand pictures in 2 weeks!

6 months old...

Yep, she is 6 months old now! To celebrate she started sitting up on her own, no more laying down for this one, she's a big girl :) She sits down on the ground with a handful of toys and continuously picks them up, chews on them a little, then sets them down...one right after the other. She really knows how to work her toys!

First bowl of rice cereal!

Ava had her first bowl of rice cereal today. I think it went well. As to be expected, more of it ended up on the front of her then in her mouth. She was more interested in trying to hold the spoon on her own than eating the cereal. Apparently she is ready to feed herself, or so she thinks!

New trick

Ava has a great new trick! She found her feet! Every time she lays on her back, up go her feet. Today she even got them in her mouth. She can't wait for gymnastics :) Look at those cute chubby legs, you just want to eat them.

Such a big girl....

Here's our little girl doing big girl things. She sits in her highchair so we can eat dinner and she plays in her exersaucer so her mama can brush her teeth. She seems to be enjoying herself! She loves being a big girl! Cute little thing :)

4 months old today!

I can't believe our little baby is 4 months old today....time sure flies! Enjoy these photos that we took yesterday.

We can't wait for baseball season!

In honor of the upcoming baseball season, Ava sported her Giants t-shirt the other day. Her dad was quite proud. She is also really loving her baby carriers these days, she sure likes to snuggle!

Here are some of the pictures I have been sending to Brian while he is in China. Not bad for taking them with my phone! Here's an update....Ava rolled over last week! It was on accident, but we'll take it! This kid has quite a personality, strongwilled I believe is what you would call it :)
